Putterills - Knebworth

Knebworth village lies between the towns of Stevenage to the north and Welwyn Garden City to the south. Close by, and more rural, Old Knebworth is home to the historical Knebworth House that stands in a breathtaking country park with picnic areas and many other facilities, which together with the house, are open to the public. It has been the venue for many music concerts over the years including Robbie Williams and Oasis.

Knebworth’s busy high street has shops that adequately cater for daily needs and includes chemists, post office, library, doctors' surgery, dentists, Cooperative general store, builders’ merchants, well regarded junior/mixed infant school, churches and a recreational ground with tennis courts, bowling green and childrens’ play area. On the village outskirts is Knebworth's private members Golf Club and a fitness centre with gymnasium and pool facilities.
