Rhodri is a professional with a career path that started in rugby and moved into the property and real estate industry. He trained and qualified as a financial advisor and worked for one of the largest mortgage and protection advisors in the UK. He then had an opportunity to manage a Penzance-based lettings agent with over 450 managed properties, which is where his passion for the industry was sparked. He spent several years as a manager, dealing with rental valuations, advertising, tenant finding, and setting up of tenancies. He then moved across to sales as a manager, running a Penzance-based sales office for a number of years and developing his skills around valuations, understanding of the property market, and how best to advertise a property. To gain a deeper understanding of property management, he then became a regional manager for a large national letting company, where he honed his understanding of legislation and compliance as well as how best to maintain and protect a landlord's investment. To further his understanding of valuation and construction, he decided to train and qualify as a building surveyor and become an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as well as a RICS Registered Vauer.
After gaining experience and knowledge in all aspects of the property rental process, from valuations and marketing to compliance and ongoing management, Rhodri decided to start the McAtee Property Group. The goal of this company is to provide a friendly but professional service that utilises the skills and understanding of the industry that he has acquired over the past decade.
