Living in Chelsea

As popular now as it ever has been, Chelsea has always been a vibrant place to live. From the collaborations between Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren which many argue led to the Punk Movement and Christian the Lion who lived in an Artist Studio on the Kings Road, and Mary Quant’s shop “Bazaar” the area has been at the forefront of fashion and popular movements since the 60’s. As time progressed, it was also home to Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones and today pop stars, financiers and families make the area their home. It’s easy to understand why: from historic buildings such as the Royal Hospital, built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1682, large open spaces such as Burton Court and the great number of schools such as Garden House, Frances Holland, Eaton Square School, Sussex House, Knightsbridge School, all within walking distance, the area is very attractive.
