Originally a 14th century fishing settlement it was called Broadstairs after a flight of steps were carved into the cliff to give access to a holy shrine.

From Broadstairs it’s easy to explore the rest of the ‘Garden of England’ that is Kent. If you head inland, you’ll find the historic St Peter's, renown for its imaginative volunteer-run tours.
