WHAT WE THINK AT ZOE NAPIER GROUP For those who love charm and original features this property does not disappoint, it has the most lovely feel to it with open fire and log burner, good outside space with a white picket fence gives that true country cottage charm and with plenty of parking, triple garage and potential for a home office or workshop/studio this could just be your prefect next home.
WHAT THE OWNER SAYS Fairfield has been our treasured family home of 22 years. The house was in our family for four generations. We have many happy memories of our time spent there. We especially loved welcoming friends and family to spend countless memorable times with us, we especially enjoyed Christmas time together, as we all gathered throughout our home.
The Facts With no onward chain, this property is well maintained and ready to move into. Set within a good sized plot with the scope to extend and with the large garage building it could be the ideal property to run a small business or work from home and with the feeling of the country but close to the town. I feel the property would suit those starting a new chapter in their lives.
Setting & Location The property sits proudly to the front of its plot with pretty white picket fence, hedging and post and rails around the perimeter, the garden wraps around the cottage but laying mainly to the rear with the patio to the side of the property, there is lots of scope for the keen gardener to improve the already established garden. The gravel parking area sits between the house and the large triple garage. This fabulous property is situated just to the north of Burnham-on-Crouch town in the aptly named Green Lane a perfect location for people wanting quiet but not the feeling of isolation. Just over a mile and a half away, Burnham-on-Crouch is a sought-after market town located on the meandering east coast. The town is famed as a destination of excellence for sailors from the relatively sheltered Crouch Estuary and directly opposite is Wallasea Island, one of the biggest Conservation Nature Reserves for Waterfowl and rare species. A ferry boat runs visitors across to the island and there is also the small pier from which paying passengers can go by boat to watch the seal colonies close by. Often a seal will bob up outside the house, where there are also moorings available by licence.
The town enjoys a regular regatta week and the Yacht Clubs along the quay include The Royal Corinthian, Royal Burnham, and Burnham Sailing Club. Water sports are in abundance; everything from swimming and paddle boarding to canoeing and wind surfing. A thriving town, enhanced by numerous pubs, restaurants and seafood eateries, to a Tuesday food market. Transport links with a direct line to London's Liverpool Street (64 minutes) and 40 mins drive or a bus ride to Chelmsford and 45 minutes from Brentwood and Southend. The town also benefits from excellent schools. Burnham Primary School is rated Outstanding and Ormiston Rivers Academy (seniors) is the top non-selective school in the county. Local children also go to the grammar schools in Southend and Chelmsford and other independent schools.
