I have spent many an afternoon/evening sitting on the balcony overlooking the lovely square – helps you forget you are living in the middle of a busy suburb! You get the best of both worlds, a sense of peacefulness being on a cul-da-sac square, but a huge range of buses on the end of the street and the station only 7 mins away. Due to the listed square you get the feeling of living in a Georgian-esque flat but without the issues of maintenance – with west-facing floor-to ceiling windows which gives the inside a lovely bright and fresh atmosphere. It seems every week there is a new restaurant opening up with a huge range of cuisines – a personal favourite is My Neighbour the Dumplings round the corner.
Also, not once in 10 years have I ever used the heating – it is incredibly energy efficient. Not once have I paid more than £50 a month for my gas & electric in total.
