Situated in a beautiful semi-rural location, just a few minutes from Epping town centre is this property, an extremely well-appointed four bedroom family home that boasts a large garden and tremendous views across the glorious surrounding countryside.

The house itself has been the perfect family home. It was built around sixty years ago and it's very spacious and bright and it has a great layout that's ideal for busy family life and also extremely conducive to entertaining. It needed a bit of an update when the current owners came here, new kitchen, new bathrooms and a fresh lick of paint, but apart from that they haven't had to make any major changes. We love the way it's been designed to take full advantage of the lovely surroundings; the majority of the main living areas and all of the bedrooms have lovely views, and the en-suite master bedroom has a Juliette balcony so when the weather is warm you can leave the doors open and bring the outside in.

The garden is another lovely feature. It's mainly laid to lawn so it's a family-friendly space and really easy to maintain, there is also box hedging to give structure and interest to different areas, and there are a couple of nice patio areas where you can sit out, relax and enjoy the view. The house is situated on a road which enables an easy link into surrounding towns, so it's easy to get out and about, but it's never busy so the garden is also very peaceful.

What the Owner says:
The house is lovely, but it was without doubt the amazing setting that sold it to us. We don't overlook any other properties and at the back of the house we enjoy terrific views across open grassland all the way to the forest beyond and from the rear garden there are uninterrupted views over London. The land behind regularly fills with deer, sometimes they'll even wander into the garden, and in the field opposite one of our neighbours keeps horses so we often feel as if we're living deep in the countryside. However, we're just a few minutes' drive from places such as Epping and Loughton, and we can either hop on the Underground or jump in the car and be in the centre of London in next to no time. It's a phrase that's often overused, but this really is a place that offers the best of both worlds.

We've had thirteen happy years in this house, but it's the setting that I'm going to miss the most. We enjoy total and utter privacy, it's so quiet here and the views are just stunning, but we have the peace of mind of knowing that absolutely everything we might want or need is within very easy reach.
