Aldersey Golf Club (1 mile) is a popular feature of the area, and there are many wonderful walks at hand. The nearby Carden Park golf resort, hotel and spa offers one of the premier leisure facilities in the region.

A wider range of amenities, leisure facilities and a primary school are available in nearby Tattenhall (3.5 miles). It is a very popular village with a good range of amenities to include a general store with post office, butchers, pharmacy, restaurants, independent shops and a doctor's surgery.

There are several highly-regarded schools in the area including Bishop Heber High School (8 miles) and Abbey Gate College (6 miles) as well as King's and Queen's in Chester, for which there are currently school bus pick-up points on the A41.

Chester (9 miles) offers an excellent range of retail, commercial and leisure facilities as well as a direct rail link to London (approx 2 hours). The A41 allows for excellent access to the regional motorway network and airports.
