Park House was originally a seventeenth century farmhouse within the estates of the Wentworth family, Earls of Strafford. The house was extended in the 1900s and the current owners refurbished the house for 21st century living in 2002/3. Saxmundham, 4.4 miles, has all the amenities including schools, doctors' surgery, Waitrose and a railway station with access via a branch line to London.

The popular seaside town of Aldeburgh is just 3.3 miles to the east with active gold and yacht clubs. There is a strong cultural element with annual art exhibitions and the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival. Benjamin Britten made his home here and set up the Music Festival which now has its home in nearby Snape Maltings.
