Access

Access to the property is taken directly from the C1096 public road, which is designated as a Consultation Route. The access gate is marked A1 on the Sale Plan. Within the property, an established network of internal forest roads provides good vehicular access to the majority of the forest, facilitating ongoing management and timber extraction. A servitude right of access for all forestry purposes is in place between points A4 and A5. The internal infrastructure has proven effective, with timber having been successfully extracted in recent years.

Strome Carronagh – 105.66 Hectares / 261.09 Acres

Strome Carronagh is an attractive and productive commercial forest, originally established between 1978 and 1987. The crop is predominantly Sitka spruce, with a weighted average age of 36 years, and carries a substantial volume of quality timber. Several coups are now approaching maturity, presenting opportunities for harvesting within the next few years and the potential to generate significant tax-free revenue.

Selective harvesting and replanting carried out in 2005 and 2019 have created a diverse age structure, ensuring a sustainable cycle of growth and future productivity. The woodland occupies a stunning position on the northern shore of Loch Carron, enjoying direct frontage to the loch and gentle slopes that allow for efficient working with conventional harvesting machinery. The property rises to around 235 metres above sea level, and it is anticipated that, once restructured, the second rotation will deliver even higher yields than the first—reflecting the site’s strong growing conditions.

Ownership Boundaries

The area coloured blue on the Sale Plan is fenced and was planted at the same time as the main forest, but is not included in the ownership. The area coloured orange is owned, but lies out with the fenced boundary and was not planted. No warrandice can be granted over the blue area.
