Description

Mill Cottage is a charming Cotswold stone period property in the wonderful village of Ewen.

This spacious detached cottage has a wealth of character features including open fires, beams and oak flooring. As you enter via the side door you are welcomed by a warm and bright hallway which leads to a snug area which has access to the pretty mature garden, well equipped eat in kitchen and finally a very cosy reception room with the open fire. Large under the stairs storage cupboard and finally a guest WC.

As you ascend the staircase to the large landing both double bedrooms have built in wardrobe space and the 3rd bedroom is a generous single room. All three rooms are serviced by the family bathroom with bath over shower.

There is gated off street parking and as mentioned the large garden is secure and low maintenance.

Location

The property is situated in the heart of Ewen, a highly regarded Cotswold village with the infant River Thames flowing through it and lots of social activities. The village supports a well known pub, The Wild Duck (recently re-opened after extensive refurbishment), whilst further essential facilities are found in nearby Kemble. These include a general stores/post office, Parish Church, village hall.pub and a primary school (rated good by Ofsted). The lovely ancient town of Cirencester is the nearest market town (about 3.5 miles) and provides an excellent range of boutiques, shops, services and amenities. In addition to the two superstores (Waitrose and Tesco) there is also a hospital, leisure centre and tennis and rugby club for all ages. Other local sporting opportunities include sailing and fishing at the Cotswold Water Park, boating on the river Thames, gliding at Aston Down and 18 hole golf courses at Cirencester, Minchinhampton and South Cerney.

Communications are first class with there being a regular rail service from Kemble to London Paddington, taking approximately 70 minutes. The A419 from Cirencester provides direct access to both the M4 and M5, whilst the Fosse Way links the area to the East Midlands.

Square Footage: 1,402 sq ft
