Top floor is always a win. No one above you. It just feels quieter. The bedroom’s at the back too, so you’re nicely tucked away from the road at night.
The landing and stairwell is a proper usable space for bikes, coats or extra storage.
Norwood Road sits back from London Road, so you avoid the heavy traffic but stay well connected. Under five minutes to the number 17 bus into town, and roughly a mile to the station.
From a buying point of view, it’s straightforward. No onward chain. Searches pre-ordered. Solicitors engaged. Share of freehold with a long lease. Peppercorn ground rent and a very low service charge as it’s mainly just the communal entrance. Gas central heating too, which you don’t always get in flats.
It’s not super shiny or high end. But the fundamentals are strong, and that’s what really matters.
