Christopher Stokes was established in January 2006. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength. Christopher Stokes is owned and run on a day-to-day basis by Directors Chris Stokes and Mario Panayiotou. Both Directors are members of the National Association of Estate Agents (MNAEA). Chris Stokes lived in Waltham Cross for the first twenty years of his life before moving to Cheshunt. After attending schools in both Waltham Cross and Cheshunt, he went on to obtain a degree in business and finance. It was at university that Chris started to develop a passion for property. He began to build a property portfolio and then entered the industry full-time. As well as working day-to-day within the estate agency, Chris is also a CeMAP qualified mortgage broker. "Whilst working at various estate agencies, I noticed that a lot of agents did not take a proactive approach to selling. It was very much a case of waiting for the phones to ring, as opposed to doing something to make them ring. I knew that opening an office in Cheshunt (an area I grew up in and know very well), combined with the skill set and knowledge that I had built up over the years, would prove to be a recipe for success." Mario Panayiotou joined the company in March 2006 as a Senior Negotiator and, within eighteen months, had become a fellow Director. Mario grew up and went to school in Enfield. He has worked as an estate agent since 2001 and, before joining Christopher Stokes, built up experience at various agencies, both independent and corporate. This has enabled him to see how different companies operate and take the good things from them all, while leaving their bad habits behind! "From my experiences, I can see what distinguishes a good agent from a bad agent. Things like opening hours, vendor feedbacks, accompanied viewings, employing the right members of staff and advertising in the right places are all factors that should be considered before instructing an agent. I think this is where we have an advantage over our competitors."
