History Not provided
71/73 Main Street originally formed part of the Manor Estate and was long associated with the Normanton family, recorded there from 1663. After the estate was broken up around 1810, part was sold to Thomas Kilby and developed by John Tims, who rebuilt the cottage (No.73), added a second property and later retired there. In 1859 the cottages were sold to Agnes Williamson, reuniting them with the Manor Estate. Following her death they were auctioned and passed through several Leicester owners. In 1893 they returned to local ownership. During the 20th century the properties were split and resold, with No.73 later named Manorfield Cottage.
