It is well served for leisure activities with a cinema, leisure centre, swimming pool, golf club and the delightful Simmons Park. The A30 provides direct access to Exeter, with its mainline rail, airport and M5 motorway connections. The town's wool and tin history, which created its wealth, can be found in the Museum of Dartmoor Life and is a good starting point for any visitor, before embarking on any number of trails and footpaths through the beautiful Dartmoor National Park.
