This parcel of land is situated on the north west side of Folkestone Road, between Dover and Capel-le-Ferne in an area locally known as Farthingloe. It is located in a rural area about 1.5 km (1 mile) from the western edge of Dover and 2 km from the A20 junction on the outskirts of Capel-le-Ferne to the west. The centre of Dover is about 4 km (2.5miles) away and Folkestone town centre about 7 km (4.5 miles) distant. The land lies between a residential property known as Midfield and Southern Waters treatment works. It slopes gently up from the roadside boundary to a wooded area known as Broomfield Wood along the northern edge. The area is within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The land has an estimated area of 3.08 hectares (7.61acres). This land was used for arable crops for many years but it has lain fallow in recent times and has naturally regenerated into grassland with some scrubby areas. We are not aware of any services connected to or available to the land.
The B2011 (formerly A20) Folkestone Road runs parallel to its south eastern boundary, and a bridleway runs from the main road and adjacent to the south west boundary of the plot. The main access is situated in the southern most corner of the field.
