Belgrave Road is a great spot. You're a short walk from the quiet of Walthamstow village, with Orford Road being one local highlight. It has a nice range of independent shops, three pubs within a stone's throw, and several places to eat and drink (like Eat 17, or Gail's bakery). If you head to Ravenswood Estate, you can sample the local craft beer and visit God's Own Junkyard.

Hoe Street has its bustle and all your bakery needs are covered by either Suba or Crumbs bakeries, which are next door to each other, and Gnarly Vines offers a wide range of organic wines and craft beers and spirits. Towards Lea Bridge Road, both The European and William the Fourth are pubs which offer great grub and are family friendly.

There are also several parks nearby - Thomas Gamuel, Leyton Manor, Jack Cornwell, Wingfield and St James all have playpark facilities - so you really have bases covered for all ages.

If you need to venture further afield, the transport links nearby are excellent. Walthamstow Central (Victoria and Overground) and Walthamstow Queen's Road (Overground) are 10-15 minutes walk.
