• Strip foundations then a slab concrete base with a radon and damp proof barrier.
• Open panel timber frame building - The panels are made off site and then put together onsite. The timber frame was then wrapped in a breathable membrane before it was battened and clad with cement board. The whole building was then rendered.
• The timber frame was insulated from the inside onsite once the house structure was built, before the services and plasterboard went on.
• The roof is timber joists, covered with breathable membrane (felt), battened and tiled with slate effect cement tiles.
• The floor inside was also insulated and then the underfloor heating was laid on top of the insulation before the screed was poured.
