The detached bungalow is situated very close to the open countryside of Bodmin Moor. It will appeal to buyers and their families who enjoy hiking or cycling over this rugged Cornish Landmark. The Jamaica Inn public house, made famous by Daphne Du Maurier’s book of the same name, is just a short walk away and now boasts a farm shop, restaurant and hotel. The A30 dual carriageway provides good transport links.

The bungalow has been extended and modernised by our vendors over their eleven years of occupation. The garage has been replaced with two bedrooms with the largest having an en-suite shower room/WC.

Inside, the accommodation is level and comprises of a useful porch that leads into a hallway with plenty of fitted cupboard space. The lounge enjoys extra seasonal heat of a wood burning stove that is positioned on a slate hearth within the chimney breast. The kitchen is fitted with a range of light coloured units positioned both above and below a dark roll top working surface. An electric oven, hob and extractor fan will be included within the sale. A separate dining room has French style doors opening out onto the rear garden. There is also a small boiler room that is a useful area for drying washing. The modern tiled bathroom/WC has a shower and glass screen over the bath and serves three of the bedrooms that are all a good size.

Outside, there is plenty of off road parking on the concrete drive and the rear garden is enclosed and mainly laid to lawn with some established planting. There is timber children's playhouse and a large shed that is equipped with a stainless steel sink with drainer and has plumbing and space for a washing machine.

The accommodation is heated by oil fired central heating, benefits from double glazing and is well presented throughout.

Bolventor village is positioned in the heart of Bodmin Moor betwixt the Cornish towns of Launceston and Bodmin, both of which have a wide variety of shopping, commercial, educational and recreational facilities. Made famous by the Daphne Du Maurier Jamaica Inn (which is just a stone's throw away from the property), the village is one of the highest in the county yet is easily accessible via the A30 dual carriageway. A haven for dog walkers, hikers and fisherman there are various country pursuits available direct from the front door of the property which is envious to many.
From Launceston Town Centre proceed towards Bodmin on the A30 dual carriageway. Continue for approximately 12 miles passing the Esso Garage at Plusha and the Altarnun/Trewint and Five Lanes turning. Continue until you enter Bodmin Moor and take the left hand turning signposted towards Bolventor, St. Neot and Jamaica Inn Museum. Head into the village of Bolventor and take the left hand turning for St. Neot directly opposite the Jamaica Inn Public House. Cresta will be identified a short distance along on the left hand side marked by a Webbers For Sale Board.

Established in 1924, Webbers estate agents are a national award-winning, independent estate agency, voted in the Top 3 estate agents in the UK for customer service in 2014. We have 16 West Country offices for residential sales & lettings in North Devon, West Somerset, Exmoor and Cornwall. Our exclusive Fine & Country marketing enables us to put our property in Park Lane, right in the heart of London, offering fabulous market exposure. In addition, with specialist departments for Commercial Property, Survey & Professional and New Homes, we deliver a comprehensive property service, with an enviable reputation as professionals in property. Launceston is the ancient capital of Cornwall. Attractions include the English Heritage Norman Castle and steam railway, narrow streets and plenty of Georgian and Victorian architecture. Excellent access can be gained to the A30 dual carriageway and both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. The town is 17 miles from the coastal resort and rugged cliff tops of Bude. Our town square is a conservation area and has a pedestrian-friendly shopping area with cobbled streets.  The Church of St Mary Magdalene in the town centre is one of the most heavily engraved in the country. Typical out-of-town buyers come from the West Midlands and South East seeking retirement/a slower pace of life which is what our county epitomises.  We have a hard-working Launceston in Bloom committee passionate about making the town look attractive throughout all seasons and the Town Council does an excellent job of maintenance and grass cutting.  In 2011 HRH the Duchess of Cornwall opened up a new refurbished Town Hall. Average prices here for houses for sale in Launceston are £187,000 (2011 figures) and typical properties in the town include Victorian semis and modern edge-of-town developments.  We also have a growing Fine and Country department.
