Description - Woodbury Cottage is a beautifully presented hamstone cottage set beneath a classic tiled roof, combining period charm with modern comforts. Over the years, the property has been thoughtfully extended to offer spacious and versatile accommodation arranged over three floors. The property features uPVC double glazed windows and doors throughout, along with gas-fired central heating and underfloor heating in the impressive kitchen/living/family room, as well as the adjoining rear hall, snug (which can serve as a fifth bedroom), and shower room. An internal viewing is highly recommended to fully appreciate the generous proportions and flexibility this home provides. Outside, delightful rear gardens offer multiple spaces for outdoor entertaining, including a sunken garden and Mediterranean-style landscaping, creating a peaceful and tranquil setting ideal for relaxation.
Accommodation - The accommodation begins with a welcoming entrance hall, where stairs rise to the first floor and a useful storage cupboard sits beneath. The sitting room features a beautiful hamstone fireplace with inset log burner and a front-facing window. Beyond this, a gym includes a sealed fireplace and opens through an arched glazed doorway into the heart of the home – an impressive kitchen/dining/family room. This stunning space benefits from bi-fold doors opening onto the garden, a triple-glazed glass lantern roof, and elegant marble flooring with zoned underfloor heating. The kitchen is comprehensively fitted with granite worktops and drainer, a 1¼ bowl sink, a large island with integrated wine fridge, a Siemens induction hob with extractor, twin Neff ovens with grills and warming drawer, a Bosch dishwasher, and built-in cabinetry with space for an American-style fridge/freezer. A door leads back to the hallway, and an adjoining inner hall, also with underfloor heating, connects to a stylish shower room with cubicle, WC and vanity unit. At the front of the house is a snug, which also serves as a fifth bedroom, featuring underfloor heating and a window to the front.
On the first floor, the landing provides access to three double bedrooms and the family bathroom, and stairs rise again to the second floor. Bedroom one lies to the front and includes a range of fitted wardrobes and overhead storage, along with an en suite shower room featuring a large walk-in shower, WC, vanity unit, heated towel rail, and a rear-facing window with distant countryside views. Bedroom two, also enjoying a rear aspect and long views, sits adjacent to the main bathroom which is fitted with a panelled bath and shower attachment, WC, vanity unit and heated towel rail. Bedroom three looks out to the front and includes a built-in wardrobe.
The second floor opens into a fourth bedroom, currently used as a home office. This versatile room features a vaulted ceiling, dormer windows overlooking the rear with elevated views, and built-in cupboard and shelving space.
Outside - Outside, the front garden is enclosed by a hamstone wall with wrought iron railings and gate, leading to a paved area with attractive flower borders filled with Lavender and Roses. There is also a discreet wooden storage unit for bins and recycling.
The rear garden has been thoughtfully landscaped to provide a series of beautiful and functional outdoor spaces. A raised sun terrace with planters, cold water tap, lighting and power points provides the perfect spot for al fresco dining. Steps lead down to a sunken lawn surrounded by well-stocked flower and shrub borders and enclosed by a combination of walling and fencing. A built-in brick barbecue adds to the garden's entertaining appeal. A pergola adorned with Roses and Honeysuckle leads along a cobbled path to a secluded Mediterranean-style garden, complete with a central Lavender bed, Palms, Ferns and other mature planting. This private area also includes a peaceful seating space beneath a grapevine, alongside a well-appointed summerhouse or garden store with power and light connected.

About this agent

Established in 2006, Stags Yeovil office is ideally positioned on the Dorset/Somerset border and is the firm's most easterly branch. The office can be easily found in Park Road, with convenient parking close by. The town has good communications, being a short distance from the A303 to London (130 miles) and Taunton (30 miles). Its rail links are excellent and there are two railway stations: Yeovil Pen Mill and Yeovil Junction. Ham Hill, just to the south of Yeovil, has for centuries provided the lovely honey coloured stone for the construction of property in pretty villages, such as East and West Coker. Stags also deal with properties going out towards the Somerset Levels, up to the Mendip Hills and to the east into the Blackmore Vale. Yeovil has close associations with the aircraft and defence industries and is home to Augusta Westland (helicopter manufacturers), as well as Normalair Garratt (who make aircraft oxygen systems). The town has two aerodromes, Yeovil Aerodrome and RNAS Yeovilton. The Quedam Shopping Centre has around 45 shops, plus there are many good independent shops.
