The area has so much to offer. Our children attended Gonville Academy, which provided an academically strong and culturally diverse environment. We enjoyed having Mitcham Common and Lidl just a short walk away, and commuting to London Bridge was easy thanks to the nearby overground connections.

We recently renovated the property, adding a brand-new kitchen and bathroom, fresh white walls, and thick, soft carpets throughout. The tilt-and-turn double-glazed windows have been a real bonus — they’re easy to clean, energy efficient, and great for ventilation. We also ran utilities up to the loft in preparation for a future loft conversion, and had plans to build a conservatory and enclose the outside toilet to create even more space.

Our favourite feature, though, is the garden. It stretches 110 feet and has a lovely cool, fresh feel thanks to its sheltered north-facing position. We cleared away overgrowth and discovered hidden gems like camellias, rhododendrons, forsythia, winter jasmine, and apple trees — then planted over 180 different perennials and bedding plants to bring it to life.
