The pretty village of Wingham with its tree lined high street, has a convenience store, chemist, newsagents and hairdressers. There is an excellent selection of educational facilities in the area, with a number of Ofsted Outstanding-rated primary schools nearby, including one in Adisham. The independent sector offers schools in Canterbury, Ashford and Dover.
