Berry Wood is a peaceful broadleaf woodland tucked away in the heart of the countryside, offering easy access to the scenic North Devon coast.

A shared gate marks the entrance, leading onto a well-maintained track that leads to a generous turning and parking area. From here, the main track continues into the woodland, with several clearings along the way—perfect spots for setting up a base for woodland activities. Towards the southwest edge, more open areas provide lovely views across gently rolling fields.

The woodland is mainly composed of beech, oak, and birch, grey willow, with sycamore, hazel, chestnut, and the occasional ash also scattered throughout. The ground layer is rich with gorse, ferns, grasses, and, in spring, a carpet of bluebells. Navigating the site is straightforward, thanks to a network of access tracks and informal woodland paths.

Wildlife is abundant here, with deer frequently spotted roaming through the trees.

The river-port town of Barnstaple is just a short drive away, as is the stunning North Devon coastline.

The ward is Marwood, and the county council is Devon.

Boundaries: The boundary is open on all sides and borders open fields. N and S border neighbouring woodland and follow a woodbank, E borders the main road.

Access: There is excellent vehicle access via a shared locked gate. Parking is possible within the woodland itself and in a shared parking area.

Covenant: There is a covenant on the wood designed to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of this and adjoining woodlands.

Viewing: You are welcome to visit this wood by yourself, but please download the details showing the location of the woodland and ensure that you have a copy of these sales details with you.
