One of our favourite spaces is the kitchen — it’s always filled with natural light and opens straight onto the patio, which has been perfect for relaxed breakfasts, family meals, and long summer evenings outside.

We’ve loved the peacefulness of this quiet cul-de-sac, something we appreciated even more while still being so close to Central Croydon and Purley Way. The location has been ideal for us, with the tram stop just a short walk away, offering direct links into Central London, which made commuting really straightforward. The area offers the perfect balance of convenience and calm, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and leisure options all within easy reach.

The house itself has grown with us over the years. The loft conversion created a luxurious top-floor bedroom, complete with an en-suite, built-in wardrobe, and useful eaves storage. We also made sure the first floor had a dedicated office space, which has been a quiet and private work-from-home area — though it could easily become a fourth bedroom if needed. Our rear extension completely reshaped the kitchen and gave us a separate utility room, while the front extension gave the entrance hall more space and added a really useful downstairs WC. We’ve also updated all the essentials: the house has been fully rewired, a new boiler installed, and we removed the chimney breasts on every floor to maximise the space. Every room has been re-plastered, fitted with new flooring, and finished with built-in wardrobes and clever storage solutions.

The garden was another area we wanted to get just right, and we fully redesigned it to create an outdoor space that’s great for both dining and family play, complete with side access, a garden shed, and a detached garage. There’s off-street parking on the private driveway too, which has been a real bonus.

This house has truly been our home, and we’ve made so many great memories here, but the time has come for us to move to North London to be closer to family. We hope the next owners will love it just as much as we have."
