Luckwells Wood is a peaceful, secluded woodland nestled within the heart of Exmoor National Park.
The forest is largely composed of spruce, and western hemlock with the occasional oak and sycamore adding to its character. You'll also find beech, birch and hawthorn, along with younger plantings of alder, cherry and chestnut that bring further variety to the woodland.
While much of the terrain is sloping, the top section of the site features flatter ground, perfect for private camping or woodland activities. A wide ride follows the southern boundary, offering sweeping views northward and open fields stretching out to the south.
With Exmoor on the doorstep, there’s no shortage of local adventures to explore. And just a short drive away, the coastal town of Minehead offers shops, restaurants, and sandy beaches.
The constituency is Tiverton and Minehead and the county council is Somerset.
Boundaries: The boundary is fenced to the south and borders open fields. North is open and follows Cutcombe Hill. East and west border neighbouring woodland. W is staked and marked with blue paint, while E follows the main access track.
Access: With some clearing, vehicle access is possible with a good 4X4 via a shared track.
Covenant: There is a covenant on the wood designed to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of this and adjoining woodlands.

For viewing purposes, please park on the verge opposite the main entrance on Cutcombe Hill as marked on the map.
Cross over the road and follow the track uphill with Luckwells Wood on your right.
Continue along the track for approximately 170m, the entrance to Luckwells Wood will be on your right.
