Much larger than expected and also in beautiful condition, this excellent 3 double bedroom home has additional features to make it really stand out. Walk in through the front door to a hallway and the high end finish becomes immediately apparent. From the luxury wood effect flooring to the modern downstairs cloakroom , the hall really sets the tone for the rest of the property. The modern kitchen is a popular Shaker style with integrated dishwasher, twin oven and spaces for the washing machine and fridge/freezer. There is enough room for 2 of you to cook without tripping over each other and even potential for a cafe style table or small breakfast bar. The main living room has space enough for the largest of corner sofas and even a dining table, but the addition of a large conservatory gives you an option for dining, a playroom or additional seating area. This fantastic extension has a light and heat reflecting roof, double sliding doors out onto the garden and a convenient side door onto the driveway. A wonderful addition to this home!
Upstairs, on the first floor there are 2 double (15ft) bedrooms, both with modern built in wardrobes. Both are flooded with light from twin windows in each. The family bathroom is also set in the middle of the house and has been modernised in recent years with a fresh white suite, vanity units and a shower over the bath. On the top floor, the main bedroom is actually a suite!! This fabulous sized bedroom area has a storage cupboard, 2 sets of built in wardrobes and that's not all! Set off the bedroom area is an additional room which is currently used as a work from home space, but with it fitted out with further wardrobes, would also make an excellent dressing room. If you have a small baby, this would also be the perfect cot room until they are old enough to take over one of the other bedrooms. Last but not least, is a superb modernised ensuite shower room, with his and hers sinks set into a vanity unit and a huge shower cubicle to finish off this excellent top floor.
Outside and the mostly walled garden is landscaped with a low maintenance "Astro turf" lawn, with flower borders to the edges and is the perfect place for a BBQ. Imagine your friends and family spilling out from the conservatory and all enjoying time together. There are double gates to make the area secure and this allows access for parking a car behind the gates as well as in a space on the other side. The single garage is also behind the gates and provide even more secure parking and storage. The sun tracks from the east in the front to setting on the west facing rear. With nothing blocking the midday sun, there is a generous amount of sun that this excellent private and non overlooked garden enjoys throughout the day.
The property is at the top of Freestone Way, just a short walk away from the shop, play areas and lakes with walks around the development or onward to Neston. A pedestrian cut-through offer good access by foot to the Corsham secondary school, Springfield campus (0.4 miles), and onward to the town centre (just under a mile). A local shop is provided by the Co-op where you can stock up on essentials, but also collect/return deliveries. There are 2 children's play parks within the development and a real sense of community. Katherine Park is a very popular area for all types of buyers, with its local convenience store and lovely hidden lakeside walks on your doorstep. Please check out the additional video for a guided tour of the green spaces.
Transport links are provided by a local bus service which runs around the estate with further bus stops for Bath or Chippenham rail station close by. The road access to both Bath and the M4 is excellent and the rail line at Chippenham provides access to London Paddington in just under an hour. Corsham itself is a pretty picturesque town with resident peacocks who wander the high street checking out the independent shops and eateries. A great arts scene is provided by the Pound arts centre and Corsham is high up on the list of best areas to live in the West. The Springfield sports campus offers a pool, gym, a variety of classes and a climbing wall. Plenty for all ages, and the library and café provide a quiet place to stop and relax. There are a variety of great local primary schools and the popular Corsham secondary school also has a very successful 6th form. Watch out for the peacocks who stroll around the town centre, providing much amusement and character.
