After six years, and with new chapters ahead, we are sadly saying goodbye, but we know that whoever gets to make this flat their home next will love and cherish it just as much as we have.

Over the years, we have worked to make the flat feel modern and comfortable by making improvements such as creating an open-plan living and dining area, redecorating the bathroom, and replacing the kitchen. We love the large windowsills, which have served many purposes over the years—including as a cozy nook for reading, extra seating for parties, and a place for our many plants to thrive.

The flat is filled with natural light, thanks to the two skylights and large windows in the living area and bedroom, keeping the home bright throughout the day—even in winter. At the back of the house, there is a large, tranquil, and well-maintained shared garden, which we have enjoyed for summer parties and barbecues.

With the need to commute into London for work, having Norwood Junction—one of the best-connected stations—just a 15-minute walk away has been amazing. The station offers trains to London Bridge in just 12 minutes, and with Thameslink, Overground, and Southeastern services all running from there, no amount of delays or strikes has ever stopped us from finding a route to work or getting home. This has given us a wonderful work-life balance. The station also has direct trains to Gatwick, making airport travel stress-free for holidays.

We will truly miss the stunning South Norwood Lakes Park—a hidden gem in the area. With a beautiful lake at its heart, a boating club, tennis courts, and a small café that serves coffee year-round and ice cream in the summer, it’s a wonderful place to spend time throughout the year. Being less than a minute away at the bottom of the road, it’s perfect for dog walkers or joggers looking to start their day in the tranquillity of nature.

The flat is also a short walk from the famous Crystal Palace Triangle, home to numerous antique shops, art galleries, coffee and wine shops, and a huge selection of popular restaurants and pubs. It has been truly wonderful to have such an incredible hub of places to enjoy right on our doorstep."
