Jon-Paul Brampton presents...Peak Cottage; Rothschild charm in wonderful Wingrave.

the property

Built in 1876 on behalf of the Rothschilds family this attractive home benefits from character charm and modern convenience. Having recently undergone a programme of refurbishment, the property presents a stylish and sympathetic take on its era of build, to provide a home for modern family life.

The property itself is set back form the road and accessed via a shared driveway. The front door is situated at the side and leads directly in to the kitchen/diner. A truly stylish space with ample storage, worktop space and and appliances. To the front of the house is the living room, a working fireplace sits centre stage and the brand new double glazed windows allow for a pleasant outlook. To the rear of the house is a separate utility room, a refitted downstairs bathroom and a good size rear lobby that is ideal for use as a study. Patio doors lead out onto the garden.

On the first floor there are three well balanced bedrooms. The loft is boarded and historically plaster boarded, with a drop down ladder.

Externally there is a low maintenance rear garden, which is private and fully enclosed, with side access and a shed.

All in all a home filled with character, charm and a modern finish. But please don't just take my word for it, browse the photos, watch the video and if you think this is the home for you then please get in touch to arrange a viewing.

the location

Wingrave is an extremely charming hilltop village heavily influenced by Rothschild architecture. There are plenty of local amenities including a local shop, Church, school, public house, garage and famous village pond.

But that is really just the tip of the iceberg, as if ever there was a village with a true village community it is Wingrave. There are a plethora of local clubs and societies for whatever tickles your fancy. Whether it be bowls or netball, there is something for everyone. During the warmer months a village BBQ takes place every other Friday on the Recreation Ground. A chance for villagers to meet and connect. There is afternoon tea at the church on a Wednesday, Curry, Pizza or Spuds night at the Community Centre. The village involves itself heavily in Bucks Art Week as there are numerous artists within the village, as well as holding open garden events.

In terms of broader amenities, the market towns of Aylesbury, Tring and Leighton Buzzard are all close by with their High Streets and Supermarkets, as well as all offering rail services into London.

Local schools include Wingrave CoE Combined and access to the Grammar schools of Aylesbury.
