Dewsall Wood is a stunning example of an ancient and semi-natural broadleaf woodland, conveniently located near Hereford and the picturesque Wye Valley National Landscape.

A hard stone track leads from the main gate directly to the woodland, where the terrain varies with elevation, adding scale and character to the landscape. To the south, sweeping views stretch across the fields to the distant hills.

Mature oak dominate the landscape, accompanied by veteran birch, chestnut, and ash. Hazel, holly, and honeysuckle, alongside seasonal displays of wild daffodils, wood anemones, and bluebells.

The woodland is alive with birdsong, and wildlife such as deer, rabbits, and badgers are frequent visitors, adding to the tranquillity of the setting.

Ideally situated, Dewsall Wood is just a short drive from the cathedral city of Hereford and the Wye Valley, with its wealth of natural beauty and outdoor adventures.

The ward is Wormside and the county council is Hereford.

Boundaries: The boundary is open on all sides and marked with red paint. The site borders neighbouring woodland S, E and W. The northern boundary looks out to open fields.

Access: Vehicle access is possible via a shared locked gate and a hard track. Parking is possible within the woodland. There is also a hardstanding parking area at the main entrance.

Covenant: There is a covenant on the wood designed to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of this and adjoining woodlands.

Viewing: Please take care when viewing as the great outdoors can contain unexpected hazards and woodlands are no exception.
