The House

Croft House is a stunning example of Edwardian architecture offering spacious accommodation set over four stories and secondary accommodation with income potential. You are immediately impressed by the scale of what is on offer here and this beautiful home which has retained many original features.

The property is approached across a private driveway with ample parking for a number of vehicles. A pathway leads you to the front door and on into the porch which is flanked on either side by large windows allowing plenty of light into the home. A door from the porch leads into the entrance hallway, again this has a wall of large original stain glassed windows ensuring there is plenty of natural light. The entrance hallway is welcoming with the original Victorian tiled flooring and grand staircase leading to the first floor.

To your left is the first of the reception rooms, a well-proportioned space with large bay window looking out over the frontage and feature open fireplace. To the other side of the entrance hallway is the dining room, which enjoys windows to two elevations, including a bay window and feature fireplace.

The snug is also accessed via the entrance hallway and has a feature red brick wall with alcove where a wood burning stove is fitted. There is space to stack logs and ornamental bread oven. A door from here gives access to outside and also to the downstairs cloakroom with WC. Adjacent to the snug is the second of the reception rooms, which includes a bay window and double aspect and features an ornamental gas fireplace.

The kitchen diner has been finished to an incredibly high specification. It has been fitted with a good range of base and wall units, integrated appliances include a Rangemaster with double oven, grill and electric hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher. The room is centred around an island which offers further storage and space for bar stools beneath for more informal dining. Double doors open from the kitchen straight onto the patio, creating a lovely entertaining space during the summer months.

The cellar can be accessed via a door from the snug with stairs down to a laundry area and further storage.

On the first floor there are three double bedrooms, all of which benefit from ensuite bathrooms with shower, separate bath, WC and wash hand basins. The main family bathroom is a Jack and Jill, which can be accessed both from the main landing and one of the bedrooms.

Stairs rise to the second floor where you will find a further two double bedrooms, a single bedroom or study and another bathroom.

The Annexe

The detached two/three bedroom annexe has been finished to an exceptionally high standard, and offers potential for multigenerational living or income potential. You enter into a fully glazed hallway, with Oak flooring and stairs rising to the first floor. On the ground floor you will find two double bedrooms both coming with their own ensuite bathroom, another room could lend itself to either be a bedroom or study area. There is also a downstairs cloakroom with WC.

On the first floor there is a beautiful open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The kitchen is fitted with a range of contemporary units with integrated appliances including induction hob with extractor over, double inset Neff ovens, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer.

Double sliding doors open out onto a full length balcony with tiled floor and heat lamps. To the frontage of the annexe is further outdoor space with room for a table and chairs, it is bordered by a raised bed. There is also an area to the rear that is paved with steps leading to the main lawn.

The Grounds

Outside, behind Croft House is a large patio area perfect for entertaining during the summer months. There is a large detached summer house, which benefits from underfloor heating and Bi-fold doors open out onto the patio. There is a large area laid to lawn bordered by flower beds with mature shrubs and plants.

Steps lead up to a separate detached outbuilding which is currently used as a gin bar, it has laminate flooring, blinds, heating to ceiling and enjoys views out over the surrounding countryside.

The Location
