There are a number of nearby independent restaurants, cafes and shops within the town centre, whilst supermarkets are just a short 9 mile journey south to the town of Tain.
The area boasts an abundance of woodland and beach walks which also provide a fabulous habitat for an array of wildlife, such as seals, ospreys, red deer and dolphins.
Regular public transport is available by bus from Dornoch, both south to Inverness and north to Wick/Thurso.
