Guide Price £400,000 to £425,000.
We bought this property in July 2020 as first-time buyers and it has been a fantastic first home.
The first things that really stood out to us were the modern style of the flat, the balcony and the location. Being around the corner from Maze Hill station and Greenwich Park really appealed to us - especially being able to get into London Bridge within 15-20 minutes! Plus, the flat is opposite a gym, dentist and shops for all your groceries.
What really endeared us to the area is how much there is to do. Whether it be going for a wander around the beautiful Greenwich Park or having a drink in one of the many pubs and restaurants in the local area, it really has something for everyone. We love the area so much we got engaged in Greenwich Park overlooking the city and later got married again in Greenwich, at the most picturesque of pubs on the river, the Trafalgar Tavern!
Trafalgar Road also has many independent restaurants or takeaways which are really superb, namely Ben Tre and Sushi Hand Friends. Similarly, we are closely connected to Deptford and Blackheath, both of which have their own unique qualities, also having more excellent pubs and restaurants to explore!
For those that enjoy their music and comedy, there is a comedy store and a jazz bar in Greenwich! If you want on a bigger scale, the O2 is only a short bus ride away, which makes attending big events so easy!
The main living area is a great entertaining space with the open plan kitchen and balcony - we've regularly hosted dinners and parties with our friends and family.
Having our own private balcony has been such a blessing. It's perfect for sitting out with a morning coffee, dinner and drinks on warm evenings, or just opening the doors from the sitting room to let the outside in - we barely have it closed in the summer. At times it's been a real sanctuary for us, especially as it's off the main road. It feels private and peaceful. The Courtyard too is great for relaxing, which is beautifully maintained and also has a table tennis table for everyone's use!
The block of flats and adjoining streets have a very friendly feel and we get along well with our neighbours, especially those in the building. We have our own Whatsapp group where we share news about the building and upcoming events in the area.
An important thing for us was to be well-connected to central London. To commute to work, I most often take a 12 minute train from Maze Hill station to London Bridge where I can access the Northern and Jubilee lines, or a 10 minute bus to North Greenwich station where I can access the Jubilee line and DLR. A few times, we have taken the Uber Boat which goes from Greenwich all the way to Putney.
After four very happy years, we're moving on to our next home to start a family. But, Greenwich will foreever be in our hearts and will often return!

020 8033 5035Understandably, some people have a pretty dim view of estate agents, and it seems many have a horror story or two to share – us included. But our mission is to change the profession by example…and hopefully end up being a bit less lonely at dinner parties and the school gates. “Fairness” and “honesty” don’t often appear in the same sentence as “estate agent”, but we’re staking everything on it – which also involves being honest about what you actually need from an estate agent these days. The Fishneedwater team share the same belief that if you treat clients fairly and do things properly, they won’t mind the lack of branded minis or beers in the office fridge.
