The Property

This substantial home is set over three floors with accommodation extending over 3000sq.ft. The property was extended in 2012 and maintains the character and charm of the original Jacobean mansion. Our client’s full renovation four years ago now provides a high quality finish whilst still retaining many impressive period features, including high ceilings and fireplaces.

Upon entering through the grand front door the entrance hall sets the scene with direct views from the front door, through the French doors, across the dining area and over the elegant raised terrace to the hills and beyond.

Adjoining the dining area you find the beautiful and impressive Tom Howley kitchen featuring a breakfast bar area, perfect for modern family life and entertaining alike. The bespoke kitchen provides a range of units and includes integrated Miele appliances. From the kitchen/dining area, two sets of French doors lead out to the expansive raised terrace; making it perfect for al-fresco entertaining. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a laundry/utility room along with a beautifully appointed downstairs cloakroom.

The formal drawing/sitting room is full of charm with high ceilings, stunning parquet flooring, detailed cornicing and honeycomb molding to the ceiling.  A beautiful ornate fireplace, with marble surround sits as the centrepiece of this elegant room which again benefits from stunning views over the rear terrace, gardens and the Surrey Hills through the three shuttered windows.

Ascending the impressive staircase to the first floor, you are greeted by a lovely bright landing. The principal bedroom occupies the western end of the property and is a sanctuary of luxury and comfort with generous proportions. With built in-storage and individually designed en-suite this room also features wonderful views from the Juliet balcony.  There are two further double bedrooms on this floor, with another stylish shower room. All bathrooms on this floor benefit from bespoke handmade cabinetry.

On the second floor, there are two further rooms, one with an en-suite, and both benefitting from the wonderful vista.

Outside

The property is set behind electric gates and is set back with ample parking on a driveway which comes fully equipped with EV Charging Point. From the property the Manor House's original raised sun terrace opens up, ideal for alfresco dining and entertaining with far reaching views. A particularly grand, wide staircase takes you down to a private lawned area which spans across the width of the boundary. The position of the garden gives you a wonderful secluded oasis with beautiful views. In a separate block, moments from the house, there is a single garage with lighting and power.

Location

Wrens Hill is well located for Danes Hill, along with a large number of other highly regard schools, like, the ACS International School, St. Johns, Reeds and Parkside to name but a few.

The village of Oxshott offers a selection of local shops, cafe, pubs and restaurants. Whilst the nearby village of Cobham and Esher offer a fantastic range of shopping facilities, cafes and restaurants as well as a Waitrose and Sainsbury Superstore.  Countryside walks are on your doorstep with direct access out on to bridleways, along with Oxshott’s popular Princes Coverts and Oxshott Heath.

The A3 and Junction 9 of the M25 are just minutes away and Oxshott station provides a regular service to London Waterloo of approximately 35 minutes.

NEW NAME. SAME COMMITMENT In 2021, my sister Claire and I took over the business that our father established in 2002. Since then, we’ve been on an incredible journey – and one that culminated in 2023 with a rebrand that saw us change from Grosvenor Billinghurst to Grosvenor . However, our new name quickly caught the attention of an asset management company, with a similar name, and we entered into legal discussions. Of course, being faced with this predicament so soon after launching a new identity was initially a blow; we had invested a lot of time, money and energy into the rebrand. But after really reflecting on the name Grosvenor in the context of the direction the business is now heading in, this new problem became an exciting opportunity. Firstly, Grosvenor was simply a name chosen by our father many years ago. It had no real bearing on who we are as a business today. Nor did it have any direct links back to Claire and I as owners. Furthermore, as a second-generation family business, it’s our name that is, as they say, above the door. And it’s our name that’s important when it comes to driving the business forwards – not Grosvenor . So, whilst the decision to change our name for a second time in 12 months was initiated by external factors, we’re glad that it’s happened. Now, the values that form the foundation of the business are no longer ascribed to Grosvenor, but to Davies Property Partners – our new (and final) name. With our family name now at the centre of the business and this newfound opportunity to celebrate our roots, we feel more invigorated than ever. As a family-owned and managed business that’s started a brand-new chapter, we now look forward to continuing our journey and being part of yours as you embark on your next chapter – either as a seller, buyer, landlord or tenant.
