An attractive, modern 3-bedroom detached cottage-style house located on the edge of the village with a lovely countryside outlook to the rear.

A beautifully appointed modern house built approximately 10 years ago to a traditional, cottage-style design brief located on the edge of the village with a lovely backdrop to neighbouring countryside. The house was constructed with a number of bespoke features that included an Inglenook fireplace of reclaimed brick, sold oak beams, a quality Travertine stone floor in the kitchen/dining room and entrance hall, and an attractive hand-painted Neptune kitchen. The current owners have cared for and maintained the house in first class condition, whilst undertaking various improvements and modifications in the form of a luxury replacement shower room and creation of a useful external office. To the rear of the house is a lovely elevated terrace that overlooks the landscaped garden that abuts neighbouring farmland.

The property is quietly situated on the edge of the desirable village Lover and is tucked just inside the uppermost north western boundary of the New Forest National Park. Lover and the surrounding communities have facilities for day to day needs, including the Kings Head public house, the Woodfalls Inn, a pre-school, a village shop in Woodfalls and a primary school in Morgans Vale. The neighbouring village of Downton provides a range of further facilities including primary and secondary schooling, shops, a library, medical and health facilities, a cafe and selection of public houses.

Lover lies equidistant between the Avonside town of Fordingbridge and Cathedral City of Salisbury, the latter home to extensive educational, recreational, leisure and shopping facilities which combine with a twice weekly market. There is a mainline railway station with regular services to London Waterloo and the area is convenient for access onto the A36/M27 and the M3 and there is a regular bus service from the village to Salisbury and the local secondary schools.

Excellent walking, riding and cycling is found in the surrounding countryside and New Forest and there is a selection of golf courses nearby including Hamptworth. Sailing opportunities abound on the South Coast and Spinnaker Lake in Blashford.

To the front a gravelled driveway provides parking and turning for 4 - 5 cars. The driveway continues to the side of the house leading to a former single garage that has been converted into a useful STORE with a water supply, access to roof storage and light and power connected. Adjoining the store is an excellent, insulated HOME OFFICE with light and power connected and an electric feature, spiral radiator.

The landscaped garden is located wholly to the rear of the house and has attractively matured over the years. Immediately adjoining the rear of the house is a generous stone terrace, a lovely spot for al fresco dining and entertaining or simply enjoying the outlook over the garden and countryside beyond. A flight of stone steps lead down to the principal garden which is laid to an appealing combination of wild flower/grass and more manicured lawn with flower and shrub beds. The garden continues away from the house following a gentle gradient to a small stream with a hedged boundary, beyond which is neighbouring countryside.
