Portree, the main town on the island, has a secondary school and a wider range of shops and amenities. The Isle of Skye is the best known of the Inner Hebridean islands off the west coast of Scotland.

DESCRIPTION
Timber House was designed by the award-winning Dualchas Architects and is a blackhouse inspired detached dwelling connecting to the local culture and tradition. The larch clad exterior and metal roofing references the materials found within the surrounding landscape and the extensive use of glazing maximises solar gain thus increasing the thermal efficiency whilst framing the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside taking in Loch Erghallan. Oak flooring and a wood burning stove bring a warmth to the open plan split level living area and the clever use of integral storage facilities in the bedrooms maximises the space within.
The Timber House is currently run as a successful holiday let.
