KNOWLE is a hamlet formed by a small number of historic properties. The settlement sits amid hilly farmland but is just 3 miles from the market town of Crediton which is packed full of local shops and amenities. Nearer still is the larger village of Copplestone with its active community, well regarded primary school (OFSTED Good), shop with Post Office, and farm shop. Copplestone also has train and bus services to Crediton and Exeter.

COPPLESTONE is a popular choice with families who favour its OFSTED GOOD primary school and excellent transport services that make commuting East or West a breeze. It’s also home to the award winning Copplestone Farm Shop as well as an everyday convenience store with Post Office. There’s also a thriving community scene offering a range of activities and events. Originally a traditional farming hamlet, the village has grown over the years and now offers a wide range of homes at the centre of which stands the 3m carved granite cross of Saxon origin.

From Crediton High Street head towards Copplestone and after approx. 2.5 miles, the cottage will be found on the right, opposite the turning signed to Knowle. If you reach Copplestone, you’ve gone too far.

For viewings, we suggest you approach from Copplestone direction so that it’s easier to join the road on departure. If you are traveling from Crediton, go past the cottage and you can turn in the layby on the right and approach from the other direction.
