A yard of traditional period timber-framed barns with planning potential.

Description

LOT 2 extends to about 0.46 acre and comprises a yard of traditional barns, located at the bottom of the drive to The Manor house itself.

Whilst there are no formal planning approvals, it is thought that there is scope for these barns to be redeveloped in some capacity, subject to the necessary planning and listed building consents. The barns consist of:

Barn 2 (60’ x 23’) is Grade II listed and lies on the eastern side of the yard. This lovely detached barn is thought to date back to about 1800 and is timber-framed, with weatherboarding above a rubble stone plinth, under a slate roof.

Barn 3 (63’ x 23’) is also Grade II listed and forms the northwest part of the yard. With a similar provenance and thought to date to about 1800, the barn is timber-framed, with an attached cart bay, brick built lean-to and additional storage barn.

Barn 4 (49’ x 23’) adjoins the Grade II listed Barn 3 and flanks the driveway to The Manor. It is of similar construction with a timber frame atop rubble stone plinth and clad in weatherboarding under a slate roof.
