The bowling club and tennis courts provide recreation and Broughton Village Hall hosts several community groups including a village choir and the twice monthly ‘Bite and Blether’. Access to Edinburgh City Centre is directly up the A701 and Edinburgh City Bypass can be reached within 45mins. The A701 south leads to Moffat (23 miles) and Abington, giving access to the M74. Lanark Railway Station is 17miles providing a direct route to Glasgow
