Middle Lodge is a beautifully presented, period family home with a pretty garden and annexe. It has been cleverly extended on its west side to take full advantage of its spectacular setting and especially the fantastic views.
Dating from the 19th century, Middle Lodge has all the style and character of properties of that period and makes a great family home with excellent entertaining space.
Middle Lodge was once part of the Stanley Park estate owned by Sir Samuel Marling. The house was reputedly known as the 'Ladies' House' enjoying sweeping, uninterrupted views across glorious parkland towards Stroud, arguably some of the best vistas in the Cotswolds.

Services:
Mains electricity, water and drainage. Oil-fired central heating to the house.
Electric heating in the Annexe.

Middle Lodge is located on the edge of Selsley a pretty little Cotswold village immediately west of Stroud below Selsley common, 900 acres of National Trust Land. It is located down a track in a rural setting with fields at the foot of its garden and panoramic views.
All the facilities of Stroud however are only a few minutes drive away, including its mainline station (London Paddington from 95 minutes) and excellent schools (Marling and Stroud High Grammar schools within 1 mile).
In the village of Selsley is the Bell pub, which serves excellent food, a delightful church and Sainsburys within 500m. The house is within the catchment area of Woodchester primary school (rated outstanding by Ofsted in 2017) and the top performing primary school in Gloucestershire (Real Primary School Guide 2017). Middle Lodge is also 4 miles from Beaudesert Park School.
There are lovely walks in the area, with the Cotswold Way easily accessed from the house, cycling on country lanes and 10 minutes from Junction 13 of the M5 motorway for commuting to Bristol or the West Midlands.

Distances:
Motorway M5 J13 Stroud 4 miles, Motorway M4 J15 Swindon 32 miles, Stroud Railway Station 2.5 miles, Cheltenham (central) 14 miles, Bristol Temple Meads 30 miles, Bristol Airport 40 miles. All distances are approximate.
