LOT 2 – Croft 8
DESCRIPTION
Croft 8 is a tenanted croft (reference C5731 =C5731) of approximately 7.7 acres lying adjacent to Beinn Alligin. The croft, which extends to the shores of Upper Loch Torridon, comprises extensive native broadleaved woodland and semi-improved grazing/meadow pastures. The c.150m of shoreline creates the opportunity to lay a mooring, subject to the necessary consents. In 2017 there was planning permission in principle granted for the erection of house on the croft, south east of the existing property on Lot 1. This planning permission has since lapsed (Ref: 17/03334/PIP). A stone barn in the croft falls within the Highland Council Settlement Development Area boundary and offers the potential for conversion, subject to the necessary consents.

The National Trust for Scotland is the landlord of the croft and the purchasers of the croft tenancy will have to satisfy the Crofting Commission as to their suitability as tenants. Further information is available from the Crofting Commission
