Further facilities are available at Kyle of Lochalsh which is the main shopping centre for the district and has a variety of shops including a Co-op, chemists, butcher, hardware store, gift shops, hairdresser, bank, hotels, restaurants, doctors surgery and swimming pool. There is also a train station which connects through to Inverness. Primary education is available at Auchtertyre, where there is also a pre-school and secondary education is available at Plockton to which there is a free school bus service.
Dornie – home to the famous Eilean Donan Castle – is approximately 6 miles away.

Directions: Heading north on the A87 from Dornie you will come to a right hand turning signposted to Conchra, Sallachy & Church. Take this turning and follow the road for 3½ miles until you come into Sallachy. Take a left hand turning - there is one of our estate agency signs and also a small house sign for ‘Ach Na Ban’. Follow this track, largely keeping left, for approximately 0.4 mile. You will pass another house called ‘Cnoc Gorm’ and the plot will be on your right with one of our estate agency signs at the bottom of the access track.
