The neighbours are lovely, respectful and kind, and Bates Road has a real community feel to it. The neighbourhood is quiet, but has lots of great pubs, shops and eateries in walking distance as well as (of course) beautiful Preston Park. Commuting to London has been a doddle with a downhill morning jaunt to Preston Park station. The town centre isn't far either and bus routes are good for non-drivers. We will miss sundown walks in the park followed by drinks at the Parkview or PPT, the friendliness, support and respect of the local community, morning coffee in the sunny garden, and of course the beautiful flat warm and cosy in the winter and light, bright cool and sun drenched in warmer months.
