Swallowfield House is a generous and versatile detached home in one of the most sought-after coastal villages in the South Hams. Arranged over three floors, all of which benefit from zoned underfloor heating and offering nearly 4000 sqft, the accommodation is flexible and could even be arranged to create a separate, self-contained annexe. The ground floor offers the most wonderful family kitchen / breakfast room - well equipped with a Rangemaster and arranged around the central island, the vaulted ceilings and exposed beams give a lovely feeling of space while the roof lights and full height windows and doors to the courtyard flood the room with light. Clearly the heart of the home it is the perfect space for entertaining. Beyond this is a convenient utility / laundry and also a cloakroom. Also on the ground floor is the fabulous drawing room with feature fireplace and inset wood burner for those cosy evenings. French doors on either side lead to the terraces and ensure that the room is bright and welcoming. Beyond this is the dining room and sun room providing the perfect place to sit and enjoy the views over the garden. Further living accommodation is available on the lower ground floor which offers a second sitting room, a generous games room, a study, a double bedroom with dressing room and a family bathroom. French doors from both the bedroom and sitting room mean that external access is available if self-contained accommodation is required. From the entrance hall, stairs rise to the first floor which offers a principal bedroom complete with dressing room and en suite shower room as well as a further en suite bedroom, two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Outside, Swallowfield House is approached via electric gates which lead to a generous gravelled driveway which provides ample parking as well as a double garage. To the rear, the enclosed mature garden is a haven for birds and wildlife. Largely level and laid to lawn it is bordered with shrubs and plants and from here, stunning views over the village rooftops and to the sea can be enjoyed.
