Daya is a 50 foot, Katwijker type, two bedroom Dutch barge built in 1928. Believed to have started life as a lighter and was converted into a river cruiser in the south of Holland at Maasbracht and was cruised in the rivers and canals around there. Brought back to Woodbridge in 2015 and used as a comfortable live aboard under licence off the jetty at Ferry Quay, which has to be one of the best mooring locations in Suffolk today. The wheelhouse has solid oak polished flooring, fixed seating and adjusting height table. Under the wheelhouse there is an engine room/workshop, housing a fully functioning Mercedes diesel engine and fuel tank. It also houses the battery bank, which supplies both the 12v and 240v supply to all the lights and power sockets on board, which are generously placed throughout. The power for the batteries is supplied by solar panels and supplemented by a mains connection to the Quay. On deck there is an Aft and a Stern seating area, with stunning river views from the front.

The boat was taken out of the water in 2022, when the hull was completely repainted and new sea water anodes fitted. The boat is being offered fully furnished and fitted, for immediate use.
