Exquisite four bed coastal retreat on historic Hebridean Island

Description

Beacon Light is an architectural masterpiece. Recently finished, the property was constructed following the excavation of 800 tonnes of local stone of which 150 tonnes was then painstakingly used in the building of this magnificent property.
The Dulchas house is joined to the new by glass corridors and the outside is built in granite and glass with fantastic views over Loch Euphort which is just a few metres away.

The property is split over three levels with the principal reception rooms positioned on the ground floor level, taking advantage of the elevated position to enjoy the views. Wood burning and peat stoves, wonderful views, exposed granite and a wonderful balcony provide the perfect blend of modern and traditional, with comfort and character both features throughout.
The bedrooms are spacious and benefit from the themes of granite and glass with access to outside space as well from the upper levels. Both patios have panoramic views over the loch. In the main bathroom is a generous Ashton and Bentley Platinum bath and a side room leads off to a walk in shower. The bath has views across the loch. Touch mirrors, Axor taps and Hans Grohe shower with stone base and electric blinds to both rooms showcase the high quality finish and attention to detail.

All bedrooms benefit from ample storage
The open plan kitchen forms a superb hub and focal point internally. Great views again take centre stage, and the exemplary level of finish is evident throughout, especially in the hand built oak units with granite tops and a central island. The integrated dishwasher and fridge and a Smeg six burner range cooker are included in the sale. From the kitchen there is a spacious dining area, with a continuation of the tiled floor and again access to the outside.
Beacon Light epitomises “blended brilliance” with its balance of traditional and contemporary design, echoing the contrast of luxurious home comforts and the rugged coastline.
The property currently operates as a highly successful holiday let, but for those in search of seclusion and tranquillity it would be a tall order to find a better example of the ultimate haven in which to live and relax.

Location

Beacon Light occupies a truly spectacular coastal setting on the Hebridean island of Uist where it looks north across the crags and beaches of Loch Euphort.
Locheport is a small crofting settlement along the southern side of Loch Euphort in North Uist, Scotland. The settlement is located on the A867 road, which runs between Lochmaddy and Lochboisdale. Locheport has a population of around 80 people.
The settlement is named after the small port that is located on the shore of Loch Euphort. The port was once used by fishing boats, but it is now only used by pleasure boats. Locheport is also home to a number of crofts, which are small farms that are used to grow crops and raise livestock.
Locheport is a great place to visit if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The settlement is located in a beautiful part of the world and there are a variety of things to do and see.
Uist is a group of islands in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It is located in the North Atlantic Ocean, about 50 miles (80 km) west of the Scottish mainland. The islands are made up of two main islands, North Uist and South Uist, as well as several smaller islands, including Benbecula, Eriskay, and Baleshare.
Uist is a beautiful and remote place, with stunning scenery and a rich history. The islands are home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, seals, and dolphins. There are also a number of historical sites on Uist, including the ruins of the medieval church of Teampull Mhoire and Barpa Langass.

Uist is a popular destination for tourists, who come to enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and history. Daily sightings include deer, otters, seals, golden eagles, sea eagles, hen harriers and many other species.

There is some of the best brown trout and sea trout fishing in Scotland in the 800 lochans on the island and good runs of salmon from July.

The nearest beach is Baleshare which is 10 minutes away and the numerous other spectacular scarcely shared beaches on the west and north side are all within 25 minutes and accessible by car.

The islands are also a great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are a number of hotels, guesthouses, and bed and breakfasts on Uist, as well as a few restaurants and shops. Langlass Lodge, a renowned Hebridian restaurant, lies just four miles away
