The village of Alton Pancras lies on the B3143 which can be approached from Dorchester to the south, or Sherborne and/or Wincanton to the north.

If approaching from the A303, take the Wincanton turning and head south on the A357. Continue through the villages of Horsington, Templecombe, Henstridge, Stalbridge. A short distance after the village of Stalbridge take the right turn at the T-junction signed to Sturminster Newton and Blandford, continuing on the A357. Follow this road for about 3 miles until reaching a right turn signed to Sherborne and Dorchester. Turn right and follow the A3030 toward Sherborne for just under a mile until reaching a turning signed toward Kings Stag, Pulham and Dorchester. Take this turning and follow the B3143 through the village of Kings Stag and Pulham. Pass the turning for Buckland Newton and after about ½ a mile you will reach the village of Alton Pancras. Continue through the village until a range of traditional buildings are found on your right-hand side. Shortly after, the turning for the farmhouse will be found on the right-hand side.
