A PERFECT FINISH
Nestled in a tranquil setting, just a few minutes’ walk from the park and river at Emerson Valley, as well as from Furzton Lake, the property was part of an exclusive development. “It had been completed when we first went to see it last year,” he remembers. “We loved its layout and design. The only things needing to be finished were the kitchen and flooring, as the developers were waiting for the new owners to come in and make their own selection, which, of course, we did. We have enjoyed making the house our own and are very sad to be leaving it so soon. The only reason we are moving now is because we are having to relocate abroad. When we bought the house, we expected to be here for some time to come.”
VERSATILE LAYOUT
The well-presented property, which has both a driveway and a garage, offers an extremely versatile layout that could suit a range of different owners with varying requirements. At ground-floor level there is an entrance hall, cloakroom and generous drawing room, with ample space for relaxing quietly in the evening and for welcoming friends and family on occasion. “We also have a lovely, bright kitchen dining room, which opens on to the garden,” says Dhaval. “This is where we tend to spend most of our time together as a family. It is wonderful in the summer months as we can open the doors up on to the garden and it is another good space for entertaining.”
COMFORTABLE BEDROOMS
Stairs lead up to the first floor of the house, where two of the well-proportioned bedrooms and the family bathroom are situated. “This is where we sleep,” he explains. “The master bedroom, which is massive and has an en suite shower room, is at this level. There is also a guest bedroom, which also has an en suite shower room. This arrangement has worked very well for us since we have been here. We have had my parents and my parents-in-law to stay here with us at different times and everyone has been very comfortable.”
ANOTHER LEVEL
A second set of stairs then sweeps up to the top floor of the house, where there are two more sizeable bedrooms, one with an en suite cloakroom. “To be honest, we haven’t really used this part of the house very much as haven’t had the need,” he admits. “But new owners could find all kinds of exciting uses for it. It could be ideal as bedrooms for teenagers, or someone might wish to use it as office space if they are working from home or for some kind of leisure purpose. It offers great flexibility.”
FOND MEMORIES
The garden, which is a good size, also holds potential for someone to come in and make it their own. “We are really sorry not to have been able to spend more time here,” says Dhaval. “The house and the garden were exactly what we wanted, and we have enjoyed being able to get to shops and restaurants so easily from here, as well as into London by train and via the M1. There are lots of lovely places to walk and the neighbours are wonderful. We will miss everything about being here when we leave but will take many happy memories with us. It has been the perfect place for us to start our family life together and we know the new owners will be just as happy here as we have been.”
