An impressive Listed Grade II town house with a beautifully landscaped garden within walking distance of Chipping Campden High Street.

Westington House was originally built as the southern wing of Westington Manor. Amongst Chipping Campden's most handsome properties, it is thought to date from the 17th and 18th centuries. Listed Grade II as a building of Special Historic Interest, it is constructed principally of local honey coloured Cotswold stone with stone mullioned windows, leaded casements, two canted bays to the ground floor, two delightful mullioned and gabled dormers each with stone finials and a fine porch on stop chamfered columns. The property was extended in 2007 and now offers polished oak floors and joinery to all of the principal reception and bedrooms, heavy built oak doors throughout, some fine stone fireplaces and chimney pieces, marble flooring to the hall, a beautifully appointed purpose-built oak kitchen and two fine bespoke oak staircases.

From Westington Hill a wrought iron pedestrian gate on stone pillars with ball finials open to the stone flagged path which leads past well stocked flower borders and a lovely water feature on to the front porch. The garden is on two levels, divided by Cotswold stone retaining wall with shaped lawns, very well stocked flower beds and stone flagged areas for sitting out. The gravelled drive and parking area has electrically operated gates and leads to the detached single garage.

Chipping Campden is one of the most beautiful and historic of all the Cotswold market towns. It lies in a fold of the Cotswold Hills in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty approximately 12 miles to the south east of Stratford-upon-Avon and 22 miles north of Cheltenham. The town is well known for its traditional Cotswold architecture, much of it dating back to the Middle Ages. There is a good range of shops catering for most everyday needs as well as a number of specialist suppliers, a library, schools and a doctor's surgery. Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are the main shopping and cultural centres for the region. The surrounding countryside offers many excellent walks and rides and there are ample sporting opportunities. There is a mainline station to London from Moreton-in-Marsh (about 8 miles) and most West Midland centres are within daily commuting distance.
