It is located close by to several small villages such as Hardwick, Bourn and Toft, and has a strong local community. The village plays host to large village market every bank holiday at Bourn Airfield which has been running for many years and tends to have up to 400 stalls and visitors from all over the country. The village itself has a cafe, village hall, social club and a hairdresser. On the outskirts of the village is a BP petrol station with a shop and a hand car wash. There is also a large playing field which is used for football, tennis and basketball courts free for public use.
