The Newt in Somerset provides a great local day out with magnificent woodlands and gardens as well as two restaurants and a hotel. Local art gallery, Hauser & Wirth Somerset, represents emerging and established contemporary artists, again, not far from Maiden Bradley.
There are direct trains from both Warminster (7 miles) and Westbury (11 miles) Stations, arriving at London Waterloo in just under an hour.
